Cupping for Women’s Health
Cupping can cause a range of neurological and endocrine system response by applying flame on the cups can add the heat and qi energy to meridians and uterus, therefore to regulate the normal uterus functions.
Result is significant. Special for Cold Uterus,Oarium problems related. It helps remove the moisture from Organs,warm up the Uterus and relief the Period Pain.
In Chinese medicine, one of the main culprits of women's illness is what we call a ‘cold uterus’ and imbalance of ying and yang.
Yang( or Qi) energy is the warming energy of the body and fuels movement of blood and energy and catalyzes biological processes, such as ovulation, implantation and other functions.
The luteal phase of your cycle is considered the yang phase. From a conventional medical view, progesterone kicks in and raises the body temperature to support implantation of a fertilized embryo and helps it to thrive.In Chinese medicine, it is the yang/qi energy that supports proper hormonal response to facilitate reproduction and entire menstrual cycle.
If your uterus is cold and the yang/qi energy weak, blood flow may be inhibited to your reproductive organs causing old stagnant dead blood cells to accumulate which can block healthy flow and causes irregular menstrual cycle and symptoms.It is also the main reason which causes for PMS,PCOD/PCOS and other related health issues for women.
Signs You May Have Cold Uterus
- Cold hands and feet: Feeling cold easily. Drink warm water and wear more clothes cannot help. It’s caused by Yang/energy deficiency and stagnation.
- Freckles and dark eyes: Both cannot be removed by skincare creams. Root cause is the cold uterus.
- Belly fat: Fat can preserve heat. Cold uterus will make body to preserve heat by accumulating fat in the belly area. Belly fat cannot be removing by dieting alone.
- Waist and knees soreness and weak: dry and dark skin. Feel tired easily.
- Irregular and painful menstrual cycle: bloating sensation before period at lower abdominal area. Excess leucorrhea.Cold belly. Dark menstrual blood and blood clots.Unbearable menstrual pain.
- Low sex drive

The restricted movement of qi results in ‘dampness’; which is caused by an ill-functioning spleen and liver.
Cupping is a suction-based therapy, and it helps to remove damp stagnation from the body. This is followed by a rupturing of stubborn fat, which is subsequently flushed out of the system.

Therapy for PCOS PMS
Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) is a common condition that can be treated with traditional Chinese medicine. PMS occurs in the seven to ten days before menstruation and disappears shortly after bleeding begins. Caused by fluctuations in the hormonal balance of estrogen and progesterone, its symptoms include nervousness, irritability, emotional ups and downs, depression, water retention, and sore breasts.
From the point of view of Chinese patterns of disharmony, all of these symptoms can be traced to a stagnation of liver qi. Since the liver stores the blood and regulates the smooth flow of qi, it is almost always the organ involved in menstrual problems. When liver qi flows smoothly, the menstrual cycle is also smooth.
How Traditional Chinese Medicine Views Premenstrual Syndrome
What is unique about TCM(Traditional Chinese Medicine) treatments is that variations in each woman's condition are acknowledged. Physicians diagnose conditions according to a complex set of signs and symptoms exhibited by each individual and formulate individualized remedies to rebalance the body. Instead of giving a particular drug for one or two intractable problems, drugs are tailor-made for specific conditions and exert multiple effects, eg. fighting pathogens, regulating the organs or promoting the balance between organs so as to increase the body's overall defense ability.
In short, TCM believes that the syndrome is due to a periodic flush of abundant blood in the Conception and Thoroughfare Vessels (the Extra Meridians) that lead to a temporary disturbance of the blood inside the body. This then gives rise to organ dysfunction and yin yang disharmony.
Symptoms of PCOS
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a complex syndrome that includes problems with a woman’s menstrual cycle (length, intensity), her ability to have children, her hormone levels, and her appearance (excessive hair growth on the chin and cheeks, acne, weight gain, baldness).
Women with PCOS often have ovaries that contain many small cysts, of a size seldom exceeding 0.5 cm.
The symptoms of PCOS can vary from woman to woman, with some women suffering more than others. Symptoms can include any of the following:
• Infertility due to lack of ovulation (PCOS is the most common cause of infertility); Anxiety; Depression
• Menstrual irregularities: irregular or absent menses;
• Heavy menstruation (especially if periods are late);
• Painful menstruation or pain during ovulation, bleeding in the middle of a cycle;
• Pelvic pain (distention, heaviness, stabbing pain);
• Physical changes (often occurring at a later stage but not always): increased hair growth on the face, chest, stomach, back, thumbs or toes, weight gain around the waist, an inability to lose weight despite physical exercise, acne, dandruff, thinning hair (looking like male baldness);
• Multiple cysts on the ovaries diagnosed by ultrasound.
Traditional Chinese Meridian for PCOS
Chinese medicine has studied polycystic ovaries since ancient times. There are many ancient and modern text books which mention abdominal masses (ie polycystic ovaries), along with scanty menstruation and absent or delayed menstruation.
According to Traditional Chinese Medicine theory, organs involved with PCOS include the Spleen, Kidney and Liver, with a subsequent disharmony of Chong and Ren channels / meridians.
At the root of the disease is a kidney deficiency (hormonal imbalance), and a spleen qi deficiency (digestive problems) which causes accumulation of dampness. Very often a liver qi stagnation, worsened by years of stress or frustration, is added to the mix.
Liver Qi Stagnation and Blood Stasis – Enduring stress, depression or anxiety may lead to liver qi stagnation. This eventually impairs proper circulation of the blood, since qi makes blood circulate in the liver as well as in the ren and chong channels that traverse and connect with the uterus.
Another common cause of blood stagnation in the uterus is the invasion of cold. Cold causes contraction and prevents proper blood circulation. The liver channel begins at the big toe and travels up the leg, encircling the genitals. Coldness can easily enter the body through the feet and invade the uterus via the liver channel. This is one of the reasons why we advise women not to swim during their menstrual periods, when the uterus is particularly open and vulnerable, and to keep their feet, legs, abdomen and lower back warm.
Long term liver qi stagnation can also transform into heat, causing severe PMS symptoms: feelings of heat, restlessness and irritability, headaches, distended breast or abdomen, irregular periods and particularly heavy and clotty periods (when heat has transformed into blood stasis).
We use herbs and therapies that promote qi and blood circulation in the uterus, reduce clotting, reduce pain and distention, calm emotions and remove heat.
To effect complete recovery from PCOS, Chinese medicine uses herbs and therapies to regulate menstrual cycles, improve digestion, dissolve cysts, promote ovulation, improve egg quality, support conception and prevent a miscarriage when a pregnancy is achieved.
Therapy for Men's health
Chinese medicine considers that the strength or weakness of men’s sexual function is associated with the energy of certain internal organs. We always check where the imbalance of organs is occurring. Impotence (erectile dysfunction) is not only a personal health issue, it can also affect confidence, relationships and family.
1. The Causes of Impotence
i) Kidney weakness (especially Kidney Qi, Kidney Yang and Kidney Essence)
The Kidneys are one of the major organs to dominate the body’s sexual function, development and reproduction. If the Kidney function, balance or energy is good then the body’s sexual function will be strong. If you have Kidney weakness syndrome you should have the following symptoms as well: lower libido, lack of energy, weakness or pain in the lower back, light sleeping or waking very early, frequent urination during the night, puffy or heavy body. Some of the middle-aged men can get the earlier stages of prostate changes, such as enlargement or difficult urination.
ii) Liver Disorder & Stress
More and more often men’s sexual function disorders are strongly associated with our fast-paced society, work and social demands which become increasingly stressful. This state of stress restricts the flow of the Liver channel which travels through the pubic area and reproductive organs. When the Liver is affected by stress and the Liver channel is unable to flow smoothly through these areas, sexual dysfunction and disorders of the reproductive organs can become an issue. The stress can also come from other areas of life, including relationships and family.
If you have a Liver disorder, you will also have the following symptoms: depression, emotional or irritable, difficulty falling asleep, insomnia, frequent dreams, abdominal bloating, sluggish bowel movement, headache, migraines or stiff neck. Some of these cases can combine with the following diseases: high blood pressure, high cholesterol, blood test shows abnormal Liver function.
iii) Old Injury (Blood Stagnation) around Waist Area
There are several Channels and Kidneys located around the lower back and abdominal area. These Channels and Organs flow the energy to strongly support men’s sexual organs. If there is Blood Stagnation from and old injury stuck in these Channels, it will affect the flow of the circulation which is then the cause of the impotence. These cases often have the following symptoms as well: chronic lower back and hip pain and weakness of the lower back.
iv) Other Causes
Some other causes of men’s sexual dysfunction include over-doing things, being overweight, diabetes, under active thyroid.
2. How Does Chinese Medicine Help Impotence
i) First of all we need to help you find out your individual cause of impotence. We always check you by our traditional diagnosis method, such as tongue, pulse, signs and symptoms.
ii) Following your cause, we will choose a suitable treatment principle for you. The treatment may be acupuncture, Chinese medicine, cupping or meridian massage. During the treatment we will not only help your sexual function, we will also balance your whole body and improve your symptoms like those we mentioned above.
3. Diet & Lifestyle to Improve Your Sexual Function
i) Suitable Exercise
Chinese Medicine considers that movement can increase the body’s Yang, especially the Kidney Yang. I suggest the most suitable exercise is in comfortable sunshine – walking, running, swimming, playing ball games.
ii) Enough Sleep & Reduce Stress Level
Make sure you have enough hours of quality sleep – I recommend at least 7 hours per night, preferably beginning before 11.00 pm. Organise your working time and make sure you’re not too stressed.
iii) Protect Your Lower Back
Make sure your lower back has good circulation without pain. If you are experiencing pain or poor circulation, please have this resolved as soon as possible. Avoid coldness on the lower back. The Chinese have a saying: “the health of the lower back is very important for men.”
iv) Recommended Foods to Eat
Prunes, lamb, scallop, sea cucumber, chives, onion, walnuts, chestnuts, goji berries. For more detail about diet please check my diet therapy article.
v) Acupuncture and Chinese Massage
You can have regular acupuncture or meridian massage in the following areas: lower back, soles of the feet, Liver and Kidney Channels.
After therapy, you will feel totally relaxed and de-stressed. It is also good for curing insomnia, fatigue, headaches, sinusitis, and migraines. It increases flexibility in the neck and shoulders and improves the flow of blood throughout the entire scalp. It also provides relief to tired facial muscles.

What is Acupuncture？
Acupuncture is a form of treatment that is part of a philosophy of medicine known as Traditional Chinese Medicine that has been practiced for thousands of years. The purpose of acupuncture is to stimulate and balance the flow of qi along meridians to properly nourish the organs for good health.
Acupuncture is a form of treatment that involves the insertion of fine needles into specific points on the body. These points are known as acupuncture points or acupoints. There are hundreds of acupuncture points all over the body that are grouped together into what are known as meridians. There are 12 primary meridians and 8 extraneous meridians that run along the body, each of which govern a group of bodily functions known as organs, which should not not be confused with the anatomical organs in Western medicine. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, it is believed that sufficient flow of qi and blood along these meridians is necessary for good health.
In English, meridians are commonly referred to by the group of bodily functions that they govern. Traditional Chinese Medicine organ names should not be confused with Western medicine anatomical organs. These are the primary and extraneous meridians used in Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture.
Qi and Blood
Qi can be described as the life force or energy that is needed live, grow, and be healthy. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, it is believed that sufficient and free flow of qi throughout the body is necessary for good health and wellness. Blood is needed to carry qi throughout the body, and qi and blood are almost always talked about together and in some cases blood is simply not stated because it is redundant.
Qi can be obtained in 3 primary ways: birth, breathing, and ingestion. We are born with a finite quantity of qi, this qi is passed to us from our mother. Then, through breathing, eating, and drinking we obtain more qi necessary for growth and maintenance of good health. However, not all foods, drinks, and air carries the same quality or quantity of qi. Junk food, sugary drinks, and polluted air carries far less and far poorer qi compared to fresh food, clean water, and clean air. The idea of qi in our environment influencing our health and taking actions to manipulate and correct qi is core to Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Fire needle Acupuncture
Fire needle acupuncture also known as fire needling is an acupuncture technique which involves quickly inserting a red hot needle into areas on the body. Deep insertions result in greater pain and other side effects. Fire needling combines conventional acupuncture and cauterization with heated needles therapy.
The technique has been present since ancient times, though the term was phrased as "puncturing with a red-hot needle" It has much more benefits than Normal Acupuncture. Here is an example for knees pain.Of course,fire needle acupuncture can be used for many other health issues too.Special in skin issues (for example: Psoriasis, pimple, warts,varicose veins ) and energy or immunity improvement.
Skin issues: Psoriasis, Pimple, Corn/Wart. Diabetic foot etc.
